Yes. Every zone, the arena, guilds, Raid Lords and Risings are free. Plus is an optional subscription with more build slots, a bigger bag, a 15% loot bonus and longer auto-runs. Hero looks are one-time purchases.

No. Hellruler runs in any modern browser on phone or desktop. You can add it to your home screen like an app.

Does my hero keep fighting when I close the tab?

Yes. Fights run on the server, so a fight you start finishes without you and the loot waits for you. Auto-run chains up to 5 fights as a guest, 15 with an account and 25 with Plus, and a guild adds more.

Is the game finished?

No. Hellruler is in alpha and is balanced in the open. Progress may be reset during development. Plus, build slots and hero looks stay on your account.

Every floor sends about a hundred monsters at you. Your hero fights on their own. Kill the horde, pick up the loot bags and equip what makes you stronger.

Build your hero: one passive tree, runes and 21 Ways

There are no classes. Start from one of seven points on the passive tree. Skills, supports, auras and curses drop as runes. At depth 100 the gate opens and you choose your Way.

Earn four pets on the floor: the Imp, the Hound, the Cat and the Mimic. They follow you, pick up loot and level up to 100.

Eleven shelves: every item base, 163 uniques, prismatic foils, sets, runes, the bosses you beat, feats and titles.

Six gods on the plaza

Players feed Obols to the braziers of Mammon, Amon, Moloch, Gaap, Lucifer and Paimon. While one burns, every player's floors get its bonus.
