Terms of Service
Welcome to Hellruler. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, game and services, operated by Betsdom Ltd, a company registered in Bulgaria under company number 208493508, trading as Hellruler (the Company, we, us and our).
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or playing Hellruler you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them, together with our Privacy Policy above. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who May Play
You must be at least 14 years old, or older where the age of digital consent in your country is higher. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf and permits any purchases you make. You must not use Hellruler where doing so would break the law that applies to you, and you confirm that you are not subject to sanctions that would prohibit us from dealing with you.
Photosensitivity. Hellruler contains flashing lights, bright bursts and fast motion that may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy, including people with no history of seizures. If you or your family have a history of epilepsy or seizures, consult a doctor before playing. Stop playing at once and seek medical advice if you feel dizzy, your vision changes, your eyes or muscles twitch, or you lose awareness.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for everything done through your account. Give us accurate information, and tell us promptly at support@hellruler.com if you believe your account has been compromised. Unless we agree otherwise, one person may hold one account.
You may play without an account as a guest. A guest is a temporary account on our servers, tied to an identifier stored in your browser. A guest is deleted, with all its progress, after 30 days without play, and is lost at once if you clear your browser data or lose the device; we cannot recover it. Create an account at any time to keep it: the guest's progress moves to the account.
4. Licence to Play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and play Hellruler for your own private, non-commercial entertainment. The game and everything in it — code, artwork, audio, text, names, logos and design — belongs to us or to our licensors, and nothing in these Terms transfers any of it to you. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or publicly perform the game or its materials, beyond ordinary personal use such as streaming or recording your own play.
5. What You Must Not Do
You must not: cheat, or use bots, macros or any automation to play; modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the client or the network protocol; play through an unofficial client; tamper with your save file or with traffic between the game and our servers; exploit a bug rather than reporting it to us; buy, sell, trade or transfer accounts, items or currency for real money; scrape or bulk-collect data from the service; harass, threaten or abuse other players; upload unlawful, infringing or abusive content; or attack, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
Our servers verify gameplay and reject results that are impossible or that show tampering. Repeatedly attempting to defeat those checks is a breach of these Terms.
6. Guild and Profile Content
You are responsible for the text you enter as a character name, guild name, guild tag or guild description. By entering it you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it within the game for as long as you keep it there. We may remove or rename anything that is unlawful, infringing, offensive, impersonating, or misleading, with or without notice.
7. Virtual Items and Currency
Hellruler offers optional purchases: a Plus subscription, additional build slots, and cosmetic items. Virtual items, entitlements and in-game currency are licensed to you for use inside Hellruler, not sold to you. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred or traded outside the game. You acquire no ownership or other property right in them.
We may add, change, rebalance, rename or retire items and game content, and adjust game balance. This is a normal part of running a live game and is not a fault. Where a change permanently removes something you paid for outright, section 12 applies.
8. Prices, Purchases and Payment
Prices are shown at checkout in the currency stated and include applicable VAT where we are required to charge it. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by purchasing you also accept Stripe's terms. A purchase completes when our payment processor confirms it; your entitlement is added to your account at that point, which is normally immediate.
We may change prices for the future. A price change never applies to something you have already paid for, and for subscriptions we will give you notice before it takes effect, as set out in section 9.
9. The Plus Subscription
Plus is a recurring subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in force, and your payment method is charged at the start of each period, until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time, through your account or by writing to support@hellruler.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep your Plus benefits until then. We do not otherwise refund part of a period you cancel partway through, except where section 12 or mandatory consumer law provides for it.
We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any increase in the subscription price, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
10. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers in the EU and EEA
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you normally have 14 days from purchase to withdraw from a contract for digital content and receive a refund.
Because a purchase in Hellruler gives you immediate access, that right ends once performance has begun, but only if you have first expressly asked us to begin immediately and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal by doing so. We ask you to confirm both before access is granted. Where we have not obtained those confirmations from you, your 14-day right stands, and you may exercise it by writing to support@hellruler.com.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory right you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
11. Refunds
Beyond the right of withdrawal, purchases are final. We will nonetheless refund, on request within 14 days of the charge, a purchase that was duplicated or made by accident, an entitlement that was charged for but never delivered, and any purchase of content that does not work as described where we cannot put it right.
We do not refund progress lost through your own actions, purchases consumed or used in play, or purchases on an account terminated for breach of these Terms, except where consumer law requires us to.
Your statutory rights under EU Directive 2019/770 on digital content are unaffected: if what you bought is not as described or does not work, you are entitled to have it brought into conformity, and to a price reduction or a refund where we cannot do so within a reasonable time.
Where you bought through a mobile app store, that store's refund policy applies and the refund is handled by the store, not by us.
12. Changes to the Game, and Discontinuing the Service
We may update, extend, change or remove parts of Hellruler at any time — for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or game balance.
Minimum service period. We will keep the content of a one-time purchase usable for at least 12 months from the date you bought it, unless we are prevented from doing so by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we discontinue Hellruler permanently, we will:
- announce it at least 30 days beforehand, on this website and by email to registered accounts;
- stop selling items and stop accepting new subscription sign-ups from the moment of the announcement;
- cancel automatic renewal on every active subscription, so that nobody is charged for a period that would fall after the shutdown;
- let subscriptions already paid for run to the end of their current period; and where the shutdown falls before that date, refund the unused part of the period on a pro-rata basis;
- refund, on request, any one-time purchase made in the 30 days before the announcement;
- make a copy of your progress data available to download before the servers are switched off.
When the service ends, your licence to use virtual items ends with it, and no compensation is due beyond the refunds described above. This does not affect any refund you are entitled to under mandatory consumer law.
We may also have to end the service immediately and without the notice above if we are compelled to by law, by a regulator or by a court, or by a serious threat to security or safety. In that case we will still give effect to the refund commitments above as far as we are able.
13. Availability and Your Progress
We work to keep Hellruler available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, for updates, or because of faults or events beyond our control. We take backups of game data, but we cannot guarantee that any particular save can be restored, and the service is provided on the basis set out in section 15.
Hellruler is currently in alpha. While it is being developed we may reset game progress — characters, items, in-game currency and rankings — as part of an update. Entitlements you have paid for (Plus, build slots and cosmetics) remain on your account after a reset.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or to protect the service or other players. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond, unless the breach is serious or repeated, or the law prevents us.
You may close your account at any time by writing to support@hellruler.com.
Termination for your breach does not entitle you to a refund of unused subscription time. If we terminate your account without any breach on your part, and other than under section 12, we will refund the unused part of your current subscription period.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, Hellruler and its materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we make no warranties, express or implied, about the availability, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose of the service, or about the persistence of game progress. This section does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer, including the conformity rights described in section 11.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything else that the law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for the loss of data or of virtual items beyond what section 12 provides; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 50 euro.
If you are a consumer, this section does not take away any statutory right you have.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Where a change is material, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the game before it takes effect.
Continuing to play after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not accept a material change, you may close your account before it takes effect, and we will refund the unused part of any subscription period you have already paid for.
18. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Bulgaria, and the courts of Bulgaria have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
If something goes wrong, please write to support@hellruler.com first — we aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. Consumers in Bulgaria may also contact the Commission for Consumer Protection (Komisia za zashtita na potrebitelite), kzp.bg.
19. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about Hellruler. If any part of them is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor in our business, on notice to you and without reducing your rights. Notices to you may be sent to the email address on your account.
